Rachel, while there are many new authors I've been tracking the past year, both you and Amanda Hocking stood out as 2 emerging authors who found success in unique ways—that is the story. Hocking was big news here in her home state of Minnesota where I live, and a wee bit controversial with our local literary community. While I haven't read her books, she emulates the new DIY spirit of youth that I admire, and that's important.

With you, I enjoyed the fun reads, but what really impressed me was your social media energy; and if I doubted the sincerity of your tweety persona, I learned that you are the real deal and want to hang out with your readers. On the other hand, too many social media marketers and new authors are just pushing tweets out like so much spam or junk mail, not understanding the signal-to-noise fog on new digital channels.

Just read your blog post today "Top 25 Ways To Sell Your Book Without Spamming Links" on <a href="http://badredheadmedia.com/?p=79" title="badredheadmedia.com rel="nofollow">badredheadmedia.com</a> with great advice on multi-channel content marketing. You know and show how to leverage both time and a little money in smart ways.

Thanks David for mentioning me in this article.

What you got from me is classic, real me. I love Twitter for the openness and ability to interact, chat and sell. I believe in NOT spamming folks w/ constant links. In fact, I just wrote a post on my @BadRedheadMedia (my business site) blog that gives authors 25 ways NOT to spam their links on Twitter to sell their books.

Twitter is fab but it's just one way for authors to market. Your article is fair and well-researched. Thanks again for including me.
